Natalia
Santa Cruz Senior Portrait Session | Davenport Landing Beach
Natalia’s senior portrait session at Davenport Landing Beach was such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the transition into her next chapter before heading off to San Diego State University. We met along the coast just north of Santa Cruz, where the cliffs open up into wide ocean views and the light gets especially soft in the evening. She wanted something simple, natural, and coastal—images that felt like her, but also marked this big life milestone in a really grounded, beautiful way. Davenport Landing was the perfect setting for that. The beach has this quiet, tucked-away feeling that makes sessions feel more personal, with the ocean constantly shifting in the background and the cliffs giving everything a cinematic frame. For Natalia, the focus was on keeping things relaxed and fun, letting her personality come through without overthinking anything. We moved through different spots along the shoreline, leaning into candid moments, natural movement, and those in-between expressions that feel the most real. There’s something really special about senior sessions like this—they hold both excitement and softness at the same time. You can feel the anticipation of what’s ahead, but also this deep appreciation for where someone is right now. As she prepares to start at SDSU, this session felt like a way to pause time for just a moment and document this version of her before everything shifts. The coastline north of Santa Cruz is one of my favorite places for senior portraits because it feels both expansive and intimate. It gives enough space for movement while still feeling connected and grounded in nature. Natalia brought such an easy energy to the session, which made it feel effortless to create a mix of candid and timeless portraits that reflect this season of her life. If you’re looking for a Santa Cruz senior portrait photographer for your graduation session or milestone portraits, I’d love to create something that feels true to you
